ARES Signs With DARK HARVEST RECORDS

September 11, 2008

Largo, Florida-based death/thrash metal band ARES has inked a deal with Dark Harvest Records.

According to a press release, "ARES is everything that a metal band should be. Young, fast, and brutal. Drawing on strong roots buried deep in early thrash metal and incorporating every facet of the genre, ARES is ready to take metal into the future. Their sound has been compared to SLAYER, VADER and early METALLICA. With technical drumming, ruthless guitars, pounding bass and harsh vocals, this group of 18-to19-year-olds is poised to make a permanent imprint on a scene!"

ARES comments on the signing: "We've been busting our asses writing and playing for a number of years now and are grateful to have been picked up by Dark Harvest Records. We're looking forward to expanding and bringing the music to the people. Dark Harvest will make a mighty ally!"
