ARKAEA: Video Footage From Recording Studio Available

November 12, 2008

ARKAEA — the new band featuring FEAR FACTORY members Christian Olde Wolbers (guitar) and Raymond Herrera (drums) alongside vocalist Jon Howard (THREAT SIGNAL) — will release its debut album on March 10, 2009 via Koch Records. The band has enlisted THREAT SIGNAL bass player Pat Kavanaugh and has begun recording. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Break The Silence", "Blackened Sky", "Beneath The Shades Of Grey" and "Awakening", "Years In The Darkness", "Lucid Dream" and "Gone Tomorrow". The album is being recorded at Temple Studios in Chatsworth, California, owned by Raymond Herrera and will have Christian Olde Wolbers at the helm of production with engineer Jeremy Blair (GUNS N' ROSES, FEAR FACTORY).

Jon Howard comments, "We've been writing this album for almost two years, and we are finally seeing all our hard work come together!

"Raymond has completed all of his drums tracks, and they have been edited as well. I've been a FEAR FACTORY fan since the early days, and honestly, this could be some of the best drumming I've heard from Ray! And 'Demanufacture' tore my fuckin' face off... You'll know what I mean when the albums is released. The drums were recorded at Temple Studios in Chatsworth, California, and this is where Christian is recording guitars as well.

"Right now Christian is half way done recording guitars. We are tracking 15 songs. Pat will be starting bass hopefully sometime next week, and I'll be throwing down some vocals."

Video footage from the studio is available below. Also available is an ARKAEA widget.

Howard has been a part of the FEAR FACTORY family ever since Olde Wolbers served as producer for THREAT SIGNAL's debut, "Under Reprisal". Given that connection, the chemistry was there the instant the band started playing together.
