ARKONA: New Video In The Works

Russia's ARKONA has issued the following update:

"On Saturday, July 12th, ARKONA started to shoot the second video — [for] the song 'Slavsya Rus'. Shooting took place in the woods not far from Minsk, under direction of famous videomaker Juriy Yeremin. At present moment all material is shot and waiting for final assembling. Some screenshots of the material are available here."

ARKONA recently inked a deal with Napalm Records. The group's new album, "Ot Serdca K Nebu" ("From the Heart to the Sky"),was released on July 4. The cover artwork was created by the legendary Kris Verwimp (THYRFING, MÅNEGARM).

According to a press release, ARKONA's "leader is the charismatic frontlady Masha Scream, who also writes all the music and lyrics, as well as delivering her fierce vocals. The band plays Slavic pagan metal and embellishes their versatile compositions with the use of folk instrumentation."
