ARMORED SAINT: Two DVDs, Album Reissue On The Way

December 11, 2002

ARMORED SAINT and Metal Blade Records will be releasing a DVD version of the band's home video, "A Trip Thru Red Times", in February. Included on the DVD will be extra videos, an interview conducted this past September, an "old-school" photo gallery, plus the added feature of a 5.1 surround mix. The band, who are currently putting together a new DVD covering the 1991-2002 period, are also working on a two-disc reissue of their classic record "Symbol of Salvation", which will include an extra disc of demo tracks and an interview conducted by Metal Blade CEO Brian Slagel about the making of the record. The two-disc set will come with a limited-edition digipack packaging. A spring release is expected.

In related news, ARMORED SAINT drummer Gonzo and guitarist Phil Sandoval have teamed up with Jack Emrick and Ray Burke to reform LIFE AFTER DEATH. The group, who issued a self-titled debut in 1996 via the now-defunct German label Rising Sun Records, have begun writing material for their follow-up release, due sometime in 2003. Meanwhile, Gonzo's MONSTER G project is still under development. He continues to write with a no pressure attitude, commenting, "It will come out when it is finished. I have no time constraints but I'm anxious to complete it."
