ARMY OF ANYONE's Halloween Treat: Special Three-In-One EP Due October 31
October 12, 2006The much-anticipated self-titled debut album by ARMY OF ANYONE — the band featuring former members of FILTER and STONE TEMPLE PILOTS — streets November 14 via Firm Music. But those who want to enlist sooner can do so on October 31.
That's when a special Halloween treat — a three-in-one EP — will be made available via the iTunes store. For just $.99, music fans can get both the album's first single and video — the riveting and melodically expansive "Goodbye" — along with a special podcast featuring interviews with all of the band members discussing the tracks on the CD.
"Generally speaking, you only get one track for that price," says singer Richard Patrick. "So we're happy that we’re able to give our fans some extras when they download 'Goodbye'."
ARMY OF ANYONE's debut album on Firm Music will be distributed by EMI Music in the U.S. and licensed for territories around the globe. This new venture will take the unprecedented step of splitting all profits with the artists signed to the venture rather than the traditional royalty structure.
ARMY OF ANYONE will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Monday, November 20. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). For the "Goodbye" video, ARMY OF ANYONE enlisted director Scott Speer, a 24-year-old newcomer whose credits include SWITCHFOOT's "Stars" and TEDDY GEIGER's "For You I Will (Confidence)", according to MTV.com.
ARMY OF ANYONE made its live debut on September 20 with a surprise rooftop performance at a restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The band, which features ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS members Robert DeLeo on bass and Dean DeLeo on guitar in addition to former FILTER frontman Patrick, began a promotional radio tour on October 4 that will last until the record's arrival.
ARMY OF ANYONE will head out on a full U.S. tour later this fall.
