AS I LAY DYING: 'An Ocean Between Us' Artwork, Track Listing Revealed

July 6, 2007

San Diego metal outfit AS I LAY DYING has finalized the track listing for its new album, "An Ocean Between Us", due on August 21 through Metal Blade Records. Produced by KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (EVERY TIME I DIE, ALL THAT REMAINS),the CD will contain a dozen tracks, including "Separation", "Within Destruction" and the likely first single, "Nothing Left".

In a recent interview with HardcoreSounds.net, AS I LAY DYING frontman Tim Lambesis stated about the new material, "Compared to 'Shadows Are Security' it's more diverse. Some of the songs are darker and technical but there's also some melodic guitars like there were in 'Shadows Are Security'. Musically 'An Ocean Between Us' is more faster and heavier but lyrically the album is really memorable. If you put the two together it has a cool energy because everything is more balanced. I also had more time to focus on lyrics this time."
