AS WE FIGHT Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Temporary Replacement

May 5, 2008

Danish metalcore act AS WE FIGHT has issued the following update:

"We're sad to announce that after seven years with the band, Jason Campbell [vocals] will be moving on. We'd like to wish him all the best in the future! No shows will be cancelled!!!

"We're excited to announce that our friend Esse (NUMBNUTS) will give us a helping hand for the shows in Denmark and Germany in May, where we furthermore will air a couple of songs from the upcoming album! See you guys on the road!"

AS WE FIGHT recently spent time at the Smart 'N' Hard Studio recording its third album with producer Jacob Bredahl (HATESPHERE, MACHINEMADE GOD). The CD will "show the band toning its rock influence down in favor of a metal approach," according to a press release. A release date for the effort has yet to be announced.

AS WE FIGHT last year released the video for its song "Annihilation". Watch the clip below. The track comes off the Danish metalcore act's sophomore full-length album, "Midnight Tornado", which was released in October 2006 via Dockyard 1 Records.

"Midnight Tornado" was recorded by Jacob Bredahl of HATESPHERE and was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, HIMSA, SICK OF IT ALL).
