ASHES DIVIDE Expands Live Schedule

April 15, 2008

The Pulse of Radio reports: ASHES DIVIDE has expanded its upcoming live schedule, with the band formed by A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist and singer Billy Howerdel now making its concert debut on May 9 in Jacksonville, Florida. The group has added a number of dates to its itinerary, leading up to its stint on this summer's Projekt Revolution tour. ASHES DIVIDE is touring behind its debut album, "Keep Telling Myself It's All Right", which came out last Tuesday (April 8).

The first single from the ASHES DIVIDE album, "The Stone", is a Top 10 hit at rock radio.

The group's touring lineup consists of Howerdel, Jeff Friedl on drums, Matt McJunkins on bass, and Andy Gerold on lead guitar. A fifth member might be announced shortly on keyboards.

Howerdel says that he didn't always feel ready to tour, but he thinks the new band is excited to go out and perform the album its own way. "I remember having like a nightmare a couple years ago, like, 'okay, ready to go on stage?' and I was like, 'Wait, wait, wait...I don't have any songs written, I'm still writing lyrics,'" he said. "You know, when you feel that thing of feeling unprepared. And now that I think we're getting there, you know, and the T's are getting crossed and everything and we're figuring out who we are as a live band and things are getting solidified, it's a little heavier than the record and it's got its own... It still, I think, is honest to the record but it is its own thing. We're excited to get out there and do it."
