ASHES DIVIDE Getting Ready For Live Debut

April 7, 2008

The Pulse of Radio reports that ASHES DIVIDE, the new band featuring A PERFECT CIRCLE guitarist Billy Howerdel, will make its live debut at a radio festival in Orlando, Florida on May 10. The group will then play another radio show in Tampa and the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio before joining LINKIN PARK's Projekt Revolution tour this summer. While the band won't get to put on much of a live show at these gigs, Howerdel told The Pulse of Radio he hopes that changes by the time ASHES DIVIDE is headlining on its own. "Putting the live show together is important for me, and I got into this, you know, because I like the theatrical side of things, you know like, that kind of like heavy mood in live show is really important to me," he said. "So once you get those things (festivals) I guess out of the way and people can come see you on your own, I think that's when the true test will come of what is ASHES DIVIDE."

ASHES DIVIDE's debut album, "Keep Telling Myself It's All Right", is due out on Tuesday (April 8). The first single is called "The Stone".

Howerdel sings and plays guitar, bass and keyboard on the album, which also features A PERFECT CIRCLE's Josh Freese on drums and TOOL/A PERFECT CIRCLE frontman Maynard James Keenan's 11-year-old son Devo on cello.

Howerdel has been working on finalizing the live lineup of ASHES DIVIDE in time for the group's concert debut.
