ASTRIAAL Enter Studios To Begin Work On "Renascent Misanthropy"

Australia's ASTRIAAL entered Sunshine Studios in Brisbane on Monday, June 17th to begin recording their debut full-length effort, entitled Renascent Misanthropy. Engineered by Lachlan Mitchell (ex-NAZXUL),the follow-up to 2000's Summoning the Essence of Ancient Wisdom EP will contain "eight tracks of blasting misanthropik violence," according to the group's official web site.

In other news, ASTRIAAL's recently-recorded two-track Throne to Perish 7" EP should be released by US label Dark Horizon Records in September. The EP features two unreleased tracks, one of which will be re-recorded for the Renascent Misanthropy album. Meanwhile, the European LP release of Summoning the Essence of Ancient Wisdom has been slated for July on Mester Productions after numerous delays from the label.

Also on the ASTRIAAL front, the group will be featured on an upcoming metal compilation entitled Full Metal Racket II, being released by national radio station Triple J. ASTRIAAL's "Revere the Labyrinth" will appear on the sampler alongside cuts from bands like SLAYER, DIMMU BORGIR and OPETH. A July 1st release is anticipated.
