April 7, 2009

ASYLUM, the Illinois-based project featuring Markus Johansson (lead vocals, lead guitar) and Johnny Rox (bass guitar),has uploaded another new track called "Day By Day" to its MySpace page. The track was mixed by Orlando Villasenor at Everlong Recording Company in San Antonio, Texas and is the third song with vocals to be released from the band (following previously released cuts "Eternal" and "Permanent Heartbreak"). ASYLUM is planning on sending out these three songs to prospective labels in hopes of securing worldwide distribution and release this year.

Johansson and Rox are joined on the debut ASYLUM album by drummer Kevin Talley (DAATH, CHIMAIRA, DEVILDRIVER) and second lead guitarist Larry Tarnowski (ex-ICED EARTH). In addition, ZIMMERS HOLE vocalist The Heathen will record guest vocals on the bonus track, a cover of VAN HALEN's "Get Up". Also contributing to the CD are Gene Hoglan (DETHKLOK, ZIMMERS HOLE, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD),David Shankle (MANOWAR, DSG),Andy La Rocque (KING DIAMOND),Michael Angelo Batio (NITRO, MAB),Roland Grapow (HELLOWEEN, MASTERPLAN),Bill Hudson (POWER QUEST, CELLADOR),and Brendon Small ("Metalacolypse"/DETHKLOK creator).

ASYLUM is currently unsigned and seeking a suitable label to release the CD.
