AT THE GATES Working On Documentary

September 22, 2008

Reactivated Swedish metallers AT THE GATES have issued the following update:

"The reunion shows for 2008 have come to an end. We want to thank everybody involved for making them happen. A massive 'thank you' goes out to our partners in THE HAUNTED, DISFEAR, NEMHAIN, SLAKTATTACK etc. for understanding the importance of doing these last couple of closing shows.

"What happens now, you might ask? Well, we are currently working on collecting a bunch of filmed material and we will begin to film and edit some footage for an upcoming documentary. More news about this at a later date. In the meanwhile, please respect our current status, and try to understand that our main priority lies with our current bands and prior commitments.

"Thanks everybody for making this a memorable summer for us all."

AT THE GATES vocalist Tomas Lindberg offered advice to up-and-coming bands during an interview with the British music channel Scuzz TV conducted at the Bloodstock Open Air 2008 festival, which was held August 15-17 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England. Watch the chat below.

In a recent interview with Metal-Rules.com, AT THE GATES guitarist Anders Björler stated about the possibility of the group recording a new studio album, "It seems pointless after 12 years. I think people might think they want it, but when they actually hear it I don't think they'll want it anymore. That's our feeling about it, at least. 'Slaughter of the Soul' was a very good album to end with, as it would be very hard to top."

AT THE GATES were the featured guests on the July 27 edition of Indie 103.1 FM's specialty metal program "Chaos with Full Metal Jackie". Listen to the interview at this location.

AT THE GATES wrapped up its North American tour on July 27 at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, California. Also appearing on the bill were DARKEST HOUR, MUNICIPAL WASTE and TOXIC HOLOCAUST.

AT THE GATES 2008 reunion lineup:

Adrian Erlandsson - Drums
Martin Larsson - Guitar
Anders Björler - Guitar
Tomas Lindberg - Vocals
Jonas Björler - Bass
