AT WAR, DESTRUCTOR Confirmed For Germany's HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR Festival

Reunited Virginia thrash metal legends AT WAR have been confirmed for this year's installment of the Headbangers Open Air festival, set to take place July 24-26, 2008 in Brande-Hrnerkirchen, Germany. In addition, DESTRUCTOR has replaced THE GATES OF SLUMBER on the festival's billing and SEASONS OF THE WOLF has cancelled its participation in the event.

In the mid-1980s AT WAR was unleashed on the metal scene, prompting Kerrang! magazine to hail the band as "America's premier thrash trio." AT WAR's debut album, "Ordered To Kill", along with early releases by METALLICA and MEGADETH, were among the first independent-label thrash releases to obtain chart positions for nationwide radio airplay and sales in America. The band's second album, "Retaliatory Strike", also achieved Top 20 chart positions on leading radio tip sheets, establishing AT WAR as one of the top U.S. thrash-metal merchants of the 1980s.

AT WAR will head into the studio soon to record its next CD, tentatvely titled "Infidel".
