AUDIOSLAVE, IRON MAIDEN First-Week Sales Projections Revealed
September 6, 2006According to Hits Daily Double, AUDIOSLAVE's "Revelations" is poised to sell between 130,000 and 140,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land in the Top 5 on The Billboard 200 chart (BEYONCE's "B'Day" is on target to soar past 600,000 and could approach 650,000 — a guaranteed No. 1). This is a sharp drop from the first-week performance of last year's "Out of Exile", which premiered with 263,000 units to land at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. Meanwhile, IRON MAIDEN's "A Matter of Life and Death" is on track to sell about 60,000 copies in its first week of release — significantly more than the 40,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, 2003's "Dance of Death" (which landed at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart),and that of "Brave New World", which moved 38,000 copies in June 2000 to land at No. 39 on The Billboard 200 chart.
