AUDIOSLAVE: North American Support Act Announced

March 21, 2005

According to Billboard.com, support for AUDIOSLAVE's upcoming North American tour will come from singer/songwriter JONNY POLONSKY, who last year released his first album since 1996, "The Power of Sound".

AUDIOSLAVE will begin a five-week North American tour April 14 in Las Vegas. The quartet of former SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell and former RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE principals Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford will be out behind its as-yet-untitled new album, due in May via Interscope.

First single "Be Yourself" debuted at No. 24 last week on both Billboard's Mainstream and Modern Rock Tracks charts, and crept on to the Hot 100 at No. 100. The track can be streamed on AUDIOSLAVE's official web site.
