AUDIOSLAVE On Track To Sell 280K Copies Of 'Out Of Exile'
May 28, 2005According to Hits Daily Double, AUDIOSLAVE are on track to sell between 270,000 and 280,000 copies of their sophomore album, "Out of Exile", in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 1 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart. SYSTEM OF A DOWN have a shot at landing at No. 2, with early reports indicating that the Los Angeles-based group will shift around 200,000 copies of "Mezmerize" in its second week of release after entering the chart at No. 1 the previous week.
AUDIOSLAVE's "Out of Exile" was produced by Rick Rubin, who also helmed double-platinum self-titled debut. The band begin a European tour Sunday (May 29) at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival in Lisbon, Portugal.
