AUDIOSLAVE's CHRIS CORNELL Is Looking Forward To Hitting The Road

April 13, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: AUDIOSLAVE kicks off its first tour since 2003 tomorrow night (April 14) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vocalist Chris Cornell said he can't wait to hit the road — if only to get some rest and relaxation. "Once you get on tour, it's a very specific focus," he explained. "Our entire day sort of revolves around the hour-and-a-half or two hours that we're onstage and it's really simple. There's chaos before the tour where it's like doing interviews, rehearsing, wrapping up all the things you gotta wrap up for the record. Once the tour starts, it's like, sigh of relief."

AUDIOSLAVE's North American tour wraps up on May 20 in Los Angeles. The band will return to these shores later in the summer after hitting Europe from the end of May until mid-July.

AUDIOSLAVE's second album, "Out of Exile", arrives in stores on May 24.

A video for the record's first single, "Be Yourself", should hit the airwaves later this month.
