AUDIOSLAVE's CHRIS CORNELL Visits New York's K-ROCK: Audio Available

March 24, 2005

AUDIOSLAVE frontman Chris Cornell (ex-SOUNDGARDEN) stopped by the studios of New York's K-Rock 92.3 FM radio on Friday (March 18) to talk to Booker about the group's new album, tentatively titled "Out of Exile". Listen to the 16-minute interview here.

As reported on Billboard.com earlier in the week, AUDIOSLAVE's new single, "Be Yourself", debuted at No. 24 last week on both Billboard's Mainstream and Modern Rock Tracks charts, and crept on to the Hot 100 at No. 100. The track can be streamed on AUDIOSLAVE's official web site.

AUDIOSLAVE recorded "Out of Exile" with producer Rick Rubin, who also helmed their 2002 self-titled debut. Among the other songs slated for inclusion are: "Doesn't Remind Me", "Out of Exile", "The Curse", "#1 Zero" and "Your Time Has Come".

AUDIOSLAVE will begin a five-week North American tour April 14 in Las Vegas. Support at all dates will come from singer/songwriter JONNY POLONSKY, who last year released his first album since 1996, "The Power of Sound".
