AUDIOSLAVE Singer Finds Right Balance Between Career And Family

November 28, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: AUDIOSLAVE lead singer Chris Cornell and his wife, Vicky, may have brought more than a turkey home on Thanksgiving — at press time, the couple was expecting the arrival of their second child, a boy, any day now. Cornell told Launch that his wife and her family have helped make being both a rock star and a father much easier for him. "I'm so supported that I'm not having to find a balance between career and family," he said. "We have managed to figure out a way to do it and figure out a way to just kind of include it as being who we are as a couple, who we are as a family, and it's all part of one thing."

The Cornells already have a one-year-old daughter named Toni. Cornell also has a five-year-old daughter named Lily from his previous marriage to ex-SOUNDGARDEN manager Susan Silver.

AUDIOSLAVE recently wrapped up its first headlining trip through North American arenas. No new tour plans have been announced yet.

The band planned to continue working on the follow-up to this year's sophomore album, "Out of Exile". The group has written and recorded some new material over the past few months, and has even played a few new songs on tour.
