AUGUST BURNS RED: New Album Title, Release Date Revealed

April 6, 2011

Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based Christian metalcore quintet AUGUST BURNS RED has set "Leveler" as the title its fourth album, due on June 21 via the band's longtime label Solid State Records.

For "Leveler", AUGUST BURNS RED re-teamed with super producer Jason Suecof, the man behind the board on the band's previous CD, 2009's "Constellations". The result is an album that pushes the band's sonic boundaries in every direction, and yet is unquestionably heavier than its predecessor.

"Putting out a fourth record is a little scary because we obviously have our sound figured out at this point, but we don't want to put out a record that just sounds like a redux of our previous albums," explains guitarist JB Brubaker. "Our tastes are always evolving as musicians and we've been motivated to progress as a band and push ABR in different directions, while maintaining the characteristics that made us the band we are in the first place."

AUGUST BURNS RED will take to the road as a mainstage act on this summer's Vans Warped Tour, which will deliver them to almost every major market in North America to bring "Leveler"'s sonic spectacle directly to fans.

"Home", the new DVD/CD from AUGUST BURNS RED, was released on September 28, 2010 via the band's longtime label Solid State Records.

The "Home" DVD/CD captures AUGUST BURNS RED's June 4, 2010 concert at Warehouse 54 in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The DVD/CD shoot drew a sold-out crowd of 1,250 people who wanted to participate in the exciting performance, including some who traveled internationally, from as close as Montreal to as far as away as Amsterdam. Shot and edited by Space Monkey Studios, whose phenomenal work has been seen on releases by acts like COHEED AND CAMBRIA, LAMB OF GOD, EVERY TIME I DIE and more, the live show is accompanied by a documentary on the band detailing life on the road and at home and featuring many fans discussing the ways in which AUGUST BURNS RED have impacted their lives in a positive, meaningful way.
