Australia's BEHIND CRIMSON EYES Signs With ROADRUNNER RECORDS

BEHIND CRIMSON EYES, a hardcore/punk/rock/screamo band hailing from Melbourne, Australia, has inked a deal with Roadrunner Records, according to Undercover News.

"We are all so stoked to release the news about our new signing with Roadrunner," the group writes on its web site. "It is a great move for the band for they [Roadrunner] understand what we are trying to do with our music."

Commented BEHIND CRIMSON EYES frontman Josh Stuart: "We don't have to compromise our values for them to market our music. They are of the school of thought that the band makes the music and the label does the marketing. So they basically told us to make whatever record we want. And this is what we've done."

As an independent band, BEHIND CRIMSON EYES has managed to find itself in the Top 20 in Australia and scored a main-stage slot on last year's mighty Taste of Chaos tour, according to Undercover.

The band is currently finishing up their first album for Roadrunner at Sing Sing studios (POWDERFINGER, THE LIVING END) in Melbourne. A late 2006 release is expected.
