Australia's ROCK OUT Festival 'Postponed'

March 11, 2009

Australia's Rock Out festival — which was scheduled to take place next month in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne — has been postponed until the fall.

A statement from the festival organizers reads as follows: "MTD4 and Blade Promotions, after consultation with the venues and major stakeholders, including the international artists, have decided that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned to postpone the event to September/October this year. The new dates will be advised as soon as possible.

"We anticipate announcing additional headline bands to join those previously listed as the postponement allows us to restore the event to our original concept including multiple stages, all ages ticketing and camping at all sites.

"We apologise if this postponement causes any inconvenience to those that have already purchased tickets to our event and encourage them to contact us directly: [email protected]."

The Rock Out festival was supposed to include performances by the following artists, among others:

TWISTED SISTER
GIRLSCHOOL
ROSE TATTOO
DIAMOND HEAD
CRIMSON FIRE
SAKKUTH
FIXER
SCARLET SINS
THE RADIATORS
MORTAL SIN
VANISHING POINT
INK
DOUBLE DRAGON
EYEFEAR
THE AMENTA
EARTH
