Author To Discuss KURT COBAIN Biography

November 11, 2008

According to The Olympian, Charles R. Cross will read from his latest biography, "Cobain Unseen", take questions and engage in discussion from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. November 20 at the Aberdeen Timberland Regional Library (121 E. Market St.) in Aberdeen, Washington.

The biography and two earlier books by Cross, the New York Times-bestselling "Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain" and "Room Full of Mirrors: A Biography of Jimi Hendrix", will be available for purchase at the event.

"Cobain Unseen" is a visual biography of the NIRVANA frontman told through intimate photographs, Cobain's artwork and family snapshots. Full description:

"An unparalleled look inside the brilliant mind of one of America's most revered rock legends, 'Cobain Unseen' collects previously unseen artifacts and photographs from the estate's archives to form a fascinating portrait of the creativity, madness, and genius of Kurt Cobain.

"Personal items and photographs take readers deeper inside Cobain's life than they've ever been before, and interactive features, such as Kurt's handwritten sticker-sheet of NIRVANA name tags, facsimiles of unseen journal pages, and gatefolds of his graffiti-embellished guitars make this an essential keepsake. An audio CD showcasing spoken-word material by Cobain, some of it never before released, will be included. Accompanying the previously unpublished images and memorabilia is a compelling biographical narrative by New York Times-bestselling author Charles R. Cross."

From 1986 through 2000, Cross served as editor of The Rocket, a Northwest music and entertainment magazine. He is the author of six books on music legends.

For more information about his presentation, call the Aberdeen library at 360-533-2360.
