AVENGED SEVENFOLD To Hold Signing Session For U.S. Military Personnel

January 27, 2006

According to MTV.com, AVENGED SEVENFOLD will be stopping by Bolling BX Air Force Base in Washington, D.C., from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 28),where they'll be doing a signing for U.S. military personnel. The band's latest album, "City of Evil", features a song supporting the nation's troops titled "M.I.A."

AVENGED SEVENFOLD have U.S. dates booked through February 19 in Fresno, California.

The group's frontman M. Shadows recently told Billboard.com that another U.S. tour is in the works for the spring, this time with a co-headliner that he would not name. The group has also been offered a slot on this summer's Ozzfest, but Shadows said they would not commit until they knew who the headliner was.

The band's major label debut, "City of Evil", has sold 442,000 copies in the U.S. since its release last June. An AVENGED SEVENFOLD DVD is also in the works, possibly for release in the fall.
