AVERSE SEFIRA Gears Up For New York City Showcase

May 7, 2007

After recently completing a nearly month-long tour with labelmates 1349, Austin-based black metallers AVERSE SEFIRA are currently preparing for their New York City showcase with EMPEROR. Scheduled for June 1 at BB King Blues Club in the heart of Times Square, the band notes that the performance will significantly differ from their show in early April, pulling new selections from their three available albums.

Vocalist/bassist Wrath notes, "the North American tour exceeded our expectations in terms of response and the caliber of the bands with whom we performed. 1349 are an outstanding live regiment and we are anxious to reunite with them for further assaults."

Upon their return to Texas the trio will continue work on their still-untitled fourth album, their first official new recording for Candlelight. The band plans to enter the studio in September working with producer Tore Stjerna, who worked with the band for their "Tetragrammatical Astygmata" album. Additional album details to follow.

Candlelight Records reissued "Battle Clarion", the band's 2001 album originally released by now defunct label Lost Disciple on April 3. The album was remixed/remaster and features video footage unavailable on the earlier version.
