AXEL RUDI PELL: Acoustic Performances Cancelled

German guitarist AXEL RUDI PELL has abandoned plans to perform a few acoustic shows in Germany to promote his upcoming "The Ballads III" compilation. The cancellation is being attributed to "different reasons," according to a posting on Axel's web site. One of 'em was the very tight schedule to promote the tour properly."

"The Ballads III" is scheduled for release on October 25 through SPV Records. In addition to all of the group's ballads since the release of "The Ballads II", the disc includes three newly recorded songs: "Don't Say Goodbye" (a new Axel composition), a new acoustic version of "Forever Angel", and a cover version of RAINBOW's "The Temple of the King".

As previously reported, the second leg of AXEL RUDI PELL are tentatively scheduled to perform at next year's Bang Your Head, Graspop Metal Meeting and Wacken Open Air festivals.
