AXEL RUDI PELL Explains Concert Cancellations

February 10, 2007

German guitarist AXEL RUDI PELL has posted the following message on his official web site:

"I have to apologize for the cancellation of the [final] four shows [on the] second leg of the 'Mystica' tour. I had a breakdown before the first Spanish show in Madrid and was taken to hospital for four hours. The doctors diagnosed total exhaustion combined with a virus, which led to the breakdown. I got some really strong medication which took me through all the Spanish shows, but it got worse after every show. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue and the doctors told me to relax at home for a few weeks.

"I would like to thank you for your understanding and your best wishes and kind words you wrote into my guestbook!

"The planned show at the Plato in Helmond (Netherlands) will take place at the same weekend as the Rock Hard Festival (May 25-27). The other shows had to be postponed 'till the autumn this year. More news to follow in a few weeks."

AXEL RUDI PELL's latest CD, "Mystica", entered the German national chart at position No. 27. It also debuted on the Swedish chart at position No. 56. The CD was co-produced/engineered by Charlie Bauerfeind and features artwork by Colombian illustrator Felipe Machado Franco.
