AXEL RUDI PELL: In Recording Mode

German axe hero AXEL RUDI PELL is in the middle of recording his new album, titled "Kings & Queens", for a late February release through SPV Records. The new CD is being produced by Axel and co-produced, mixed and engineered by Charlie Bauerfeind (HELLOWEEN, MOTÖRHEAD, SAXON, BLIND GUARDIAN, RAGE).

Johnny Gioeli is presently laying down vocals for the follow-up to 2002's "Shadow Zone", which will feature the same lineup as the last release: Pell, Gioeli, Mike Terrana (drums),Ferdy Doernberg (keyboards),and Volker Krawczak (bass).

Axel had this to say about the album: "We all are very excited about the new songs as it will feature some of the best material I ever wrote."
