AXEL RUDI PELL: Photos From SWEDEN ROCK, ROCK HARD Festivals Available

June 22, 2007

Photos of AXEL RUDI PELL's recent live appearances at the Rock Hard Festival (May 25-27 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany) and Sweden Rock Festival (June 6-9 in Sölvesborg, Sweden) have been posted online at this location.

AXEL RUDI PELL's performance at this year's Rock Hard Festival was filmed for an upcoming DVD, tentatively due in early 2008.

AXEL RUDI PELL recently entered the studio to record a "covers" album, entitled "Diamonds Unlocked". He previously stated about the upcoming CD, "We will record 11 songs, ten cover versions and one self-written intro. But this will be a record containing songs which haven't been covered much. Also it is not my intention to record songs from other 'real' metal bands (with one or two exceptions),because the songs are already 'metal.' We wanna show how songs from other music genres could sound when a hard rock or classic rock band is covering 'em. That doesn't mean that the record will be strange sounding....no way! It will be typically AXEL RUDI PELL-ish and you'll not be disappointed, believe me!"

AXEL RUDI PELL's latest CD, "Mystica", entered the German national chart at position No. 27. It also debuted on the Swedish chart at position No. 56. The CD was co-produced/engineered by Charlie Bauerfeind and features artwork by Colombian illustrator Felipe Machado Franco.
