B.C. RICH Pays Tribute To Late DEATH Mastermind CHUCK SCHULDINER

January 14, 2008

Stephen Jensen of Crystal Lake, Illinois' F3 Studios was asked by B.C. Rich Guitars to help them pay tribute to the legendary Chuck Schuldiner.

Chuck is best known for being the founder, singer, rhythm/lead guitar player and main songwriter of DEATH, which he founded in 1983 and was one of the first bands of the death metal genre. Music biographers have referred to Schuldiner as the father of death metal. Chuck passed away on December 13, 2001 at age 34 after a a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor.

Chuck was well known for playing the custom made B.C. Rich Stealth and is single-handedly credited with making the guitar famous. In 2008, B.C. Rich decided to pay tribute to Chuck with a reissue of his famous Stealth with a portion of proceeds going directly to the family of Chuck Schuldiner. Check out the guitar here.

To help pay tribute to Chuck Schuldiner, B.C. Rich asked Stephen Jensen to create a tribute crest design to promote the tribute guitar. Stephen is honored to have been asked to create this logo design and help salute another great guitar hero who left his mark on music history. Click here to see the full illustration.
