BACKYARD BABIES To Release New Album Via AFM RECORDS

July 8, 2008

After changing its label and management, Swedish rock and roll outfit BACKYARD BABIES will release its new, self-titled album on August 15 in Europe via AFM Records. The 13-track CD was produced by Jacob Hellner, who has previously worked with RAMMSTEIN and APOCALYPTICA, among other bands. Guitarist Dregen stated prior to entering the studio, "We have written the strongest songs BACKYARD BABIES ever have written. And we will bang it on tape like it's the last recording ever. This album WILL have it all. You will laugh. You will cry. You will dance. You'll get high. I can't wait until you can hear it!"

BACKYARD BABIES will kick off a European tour in support of the new album in late August. A list of upcoming dates can be found at this location.

BACKYARD BABIES released its fifth studio full-length album, "People Like People Like People Like Us", in April 2006 via Century Media Records.

BACKYARD BABIES' 1994 full-length debut, "Diesel and Power", was reissued in 2006 with a bonus track, "Lies", and the video for "Electric Suzy".

Austria's Mulatschag.TV has posted a three-minute interview with BACKYARD BABIES members Dregen (real name: Andreas Tyrone Svensson; lead guitar, backing vocals) and Nicke Borg (vocals, guitar). Watch the footage below.
