BALTIMOORE: Illness Forces Concert Cancellation
June 1, 2007Swedish melodic hard rockers BALTIMOORE have cancelled their previously announced June 1 concert at Central Corner in Gävle, Sweden due to a "bad cold" suffered by one of the group's members. The band will now make its live debut with its new lineup at the 2007 edition of the Sweden Rock Festival, which will be held June 6-9 in Sölvesborg, Sweden. BALTIMOORE is scheduled to perform on Wednesday, June 6.
BALTIMOORE's current formation is as follows:
Björn Lodin - Vocals
Thomas Larsson - guitar
Weine Johansson - bass
Klas Hägglund - Guitar/Keyboards
Jonas Löö – Drums
Commented band leader Lodin: "The main reason for the [past lineup changes] changes are logistical difficulties in the past. Having the band closer to base camp is a necessity for its continuance. We wish Hempo and Mankan good luck with their future endeavours."
BALTIMOORE recently released a DVD-R containing footage taken at the band's December 17, 2006 gig at the Hard Rock Cafe in Stockholm, Sweden. The DVD-R also includes an interview with the group and videos for the songs "Wellaway" and "Give Me What You've Got". The interview is in Swedish, but it has English subtitles.
As previously reported, BALTIMOORE played live on the TV morning show "Nyhetsmorgon" on TV4 on November 15, 2006. Watch performances of "Play On" (video) and "Come, Gone" (video).
BALTIMOORE released its tenth album, entitled "X", on October 29 via BLP Music, the label set up by Lodin (which also saw the band's latest offering, "Kaleidoscope", released in April 2006).
