BANGALORE CHOIR Pulls Out Of ROCKLAHOMA Festival

June 5, 2008

The reunited BANGALORE CHOIR has cancelled its appearance at this year's Rocklahoma festival, which will be held July 9-13, 2008 at the Catch The Fever Festival Grounds, four miles north of Pryor, Oklahoma. Replacing them on the bill will be the Swedish band GYPSY ROSE, featuring BANGALORE CHOIR singer David Reece.

It has been 16 years since the band's only release "On Target" on Giant Records in 1992, which came out on the same day as NIRVANA's "Nevermind". Shortly after, BANGALORE CHOIR dismantled after being released from the label.

After several years under the radar on a ranch in Montana, lead vocalist David Reece (ex-ACCEPT, DAREFORCE) was contacted by Escape Records in 2007 to see what the chances would be for him to go to Sweden to sing on Swedish band GYPSY ROSE's next release. Soon after that David found himself in the studio for the next year recording and writing for the new GYPSY ROSE CD, "Another World", to be released June 20.

While touring and doing the Sweden Rock Festival in June 2007 and opening for AEROSMITH in Europe, Reece regained his passion for music, deciding he wanted to put BANGALORE CHOIR back together. Reece contacted former bandmate John Kirk. Upon returning from Sweden the process was put into motion. David found himself on his way to Northern California to Kirk's studio EVP Productions to start laying down tracks with a catalog of new material.

Pre-production is almost complete with a CD release planned for mid-summer 2008.
