BARCODE Rejoined By Singer BUTCH

January 15, 2008

Danish hardcore bruisers BARCODE have been rejoined by vocalist Butch. According to a press release, "two years' separation had done their work, and the chemistry between BARCODE and Butch, who fronted [the band] 1998-2005, is now back to its old level which initially brought along two slots on Persistence Tour headlined by HATEBREED and AGNOSTIC FRONT and shows with MADBALL and PRO-PAIN. Five shows that totalled close to 10,000 people."

Commented the group in a statement: "Really, no reason to keep beating around the Butch — we popped the question, and Butch said yes. Well, hell yeah, to be precise."

BARCODE has begun writing songs for its sixth album, to be released later in the year. European shows and festival appearances are also planned.
