BEFORE THE DAWN Begins Recording New Album

November 26, 2006

Finnish dark metallers BEFORE THE DAWN entered the studio on November 21 to begin recording their fourth album, "Deadlight", tentatively due in early 2007 via Stay Heavy Records. A studio diary has been launched at this location. On February 14, the "Deadsong" single will be released featuring the following track listing:

01. Deadsong
02. Bitter End (PLACEBO cover)
03. Gehenna (old song re-recorded and mixed)

In other news, BEFORE THE DAWN's touring lineup (with the exception of keyboardist Joel Mäkinen, who is no longer involved with the band) has been upgraded to "permanent member" status. The group's current formation is as follows:

Tuomas Saukkonen - Vocals, Guitar
Juho Räihä (GLORIA MORTI) - Guitar
Lars Eikind (WINDS) - Bass, Vocals
Aatu Mukka – Drums

BEFORE THE DAWN toured in Finland and the Baltic States in September/October with MOONSPELL, INSOMNIUM, EMBRAZE and DAWN OF SOLACE (which is another one of Tuomas' bands).

BEFORE THE DAWN's latest album, "The Ghost", was released this past summer via Locomotive Music. The CD was recorded and mixed at Villvox studios during the fall and early winter 2005 by Aleksanteri Kuosa. Mastering duties were handled by Minerva Pappi at Finnvox studios.
