BELIEVER, IMPALED Members Interviewed On 'Metal Rules! Radio'

December 6, 2009

Guitarist/vocalist Kurt Bachman of reactivated late '80s/early '90s technical-thrash metallers BELIEVER and Leon Del Muerte (IMPALED, EXHUMED, PHOBIA) were interviewed on the latest edition of Metal Rules! Radio. You can now listen to the program using the audio player below.

Metal Rules! Radio (formerly Metal Rules! Magazine) is a weekly metal show with new shows every Sunday. It focuses on interviews, reviews and a healthy dash of humor. All episodes are available for free on iTunes as well.

BELIEVER performed live for the first time in 16 years on September 25 at Sterling Hotel in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

"The first gig went pretty well with only a few tech glitches," guitarist/vocalist Kurt Bachman told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "It was great playing live again!"

Fan-filmed video footage of the concert can be viewed below.

BELIEVER's fourth album, "Gabriel", was released in March through KILLSWITCH ENGAGE frontman Howard Jones's new imprint label Cesspool Records via Metal Blade. The CD features guest appearances by Jones, Joe Rico (SACRIFICE),CKY/WORLD UNDER BLOOD guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller and Rocky Gray (EVANESCENCE, SOUL EMBRACED, LIVING SACRIFICE).

Regarding the musical direction of the album, Bachman told Decibel magazine, "We think that fans will hear some of each record but the writing is a bit different. It's still BELIEVER but we wanted to offer something new as we have in the past. Some people would like us to put out another 'Sanity Obscure' or 'Dimensions' but we didn't want to rehash the past. Those close to us have said that the new material sounds like a natural progression from 'Dimensions'. We wanted to have fun with this and get back to our emotional metal roots. Getting together to write and record was exciting. It's when the creativity and insanity was let loose."
