BEYOND THE VOID Parts Ways With Drummer, Announces Replacement
April 7, 2007German goth rockers BEYOND THE VOID have parted ways with drummer and founding member Benjamin Pflug as a result of "different priorities and goals in music." His replacement is Claus Legarth (photo),a "pro drummer" who has studied his art under drum icon Alex Holzwarth (RHAPSODY) and at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.
Claus will play his first gig with BEYOND THE VOID at the Dark Eastern Festival in Berlin on Easter Sunday, and he will also appear on the band's forthcoming third album, which will be recorded in August.
BEYOND THE VOID was formed in 2007 and has thus far released one EP and two full-length CDs. The band's latest album, "I Am Your Ruin" was issued in February 2006 via Fear Section / Out Of Line / SPV. The group has scheduled several appearances during the coming weeks with such bands as XANDRIA, LEAVES' EYES and LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE.
