BILLY JOEL Covers AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell' In Florida; Video Available
January 19, 2009Video footage of "piano man" Billy Joel performing a cover version of the AC/DC classic "Highway To Hell" on Friday, January 16 at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida can be viewed below. One of Joel's roadies sang the song while Billy played rhythm guitar.
Billy Joel was previously joined by AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson and bassist Cliff Williams during a 2002 concert in Tampa, Florida (where Billy performed with ELTON JOHN) for a rendition of "Highway To Hell".
Despite Billy Joel's predominantly pop background, the singer was once part of a "psychedelic hard rock" duo called ATTILA, which released a self-titled debut LP through Epic Records in 1970 before getting dropped by the label due to poor record sales.
