BILLY SHEEHAN To Play In STEVE VAI's Band On G3 '03 Tour

September 17, 2003

Legendary bassist Billy Sheehan (DAVID LEE ROTH, MR. BIG, TALAS) will be part of STEVE VAI's backing group during the upcoming G3 '03 tour, also featuring JOE SATRIANI and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN.

"Some of you old timers may remember the TALAS/YNGWIE tour from 1985," Sheehan writes on his web site. "That was the tour I did prior to joining DAVID LEE ROTH to start his 'Eat 'Em & Smile' record & tour. I guess it all fits together somehow! I'll be playing with Steve along with Tony MacAlpine. It should be a great time! Get tickets early — every show sold out last time. See you there!"

As previously reported, Satriani, Vai and Malmsteen will make an October 1 appearance on the syndicated radio program "Rockline" to help launch their G3 '03 tour, which kicks off in Phoenix on October 9.
