BIOMECHANICAL Record Live Session For BBC Radio 1 'Rock Show'

May 24, 2005

U.K. progressive epic thrash metallers BIOMECHANICAL were recently invited to the hallowed BBC Maida Vale Studios to record a live session for the Radio 1 "Rock Show".

The four songs, all culled from their forthcoming album "Empires of the Worlds", will feature on the show to be broadcast at 1:00 a.m. (GMT) on the night of Tuesday, May 31.

Those not in the U.K. can listen to both the live show and an archived — on demand — version at BBC.co.uk.

BIOMECHANICAL's sophomore album, "Empires of the World", will be released on June 6 via Elitist/Earache Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Eight Moons" (Revolver Records) was recorded by vocalist Jon K and mixed by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) at Sneap's own Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, U.K. The cover was created by "Spawn"/"The Haunted" drawing artist Nat Jones. Nat has also collaborated with Rob Zombie on the release of his latest comic, "The Nail".

Upcoming BIOMECHANICAL shows:

Jun. 07 - Oxford, UK @ Zodiac (w/ SHADOWS FALL)
Jun. 08 - Nottingham, UK @ Rock City
Jun. 09 - Cardiff, UK @ Barfly (w/ SHADOWS FALL)
