Birmingham City University Names Music Award After OZZY OSBOURNE
June 1, 2010According to Birmingham Mail, a Birmingham, England university has named an award after legendary heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne.
Osbourne said he was "honored" to have a prize named after him by Birmingham City University's School of Media.
The Ozzy Osbourne Development Award will be handed to the student who has made the most progress on the BA Media and Communications (Music Industries) degree course.
Aston-born Ozzy, who went to school close to the University's Perry Barr campus, said, "I was honored to be asked.
"It's great to support Birmingham and the future of the music industry."
