BIRUSHANAH, DRAIN THE SKY To Team Up For West Coast Dates
February 23, 2008Osaka, Japan's BIRUSHANAH (ex-CORRUPTED) hits U.S. soil this week for its first-ever U.S. tour — a West Coast run with Level Plane labelmates DRAIN THE SKY (ex-HIS HERO IS GONE).
BIRUSHANAH plays intense, progressive music in the vein of ZENI GEVA, THE MELVINS, and TODAY IS THE DAY. Separating BIRUSHANAH from the pack is the band's prominent use of traditional Japanese percussion.
BIRUSHANAH's debut full-length, "Akai Yami", will be released on April 25 via Level Plane Records.
Joining BIRUSHANAH for the tour, Oakland, CA's DRAIN THE SKY delivers visceral, atmospheric songs that have earned the band the title "the new end-time visionaries" by Exclaim! magazine.
DRAIN THE SKY's debut full-length is out now on Level Plane Records.
