BLACK CROWES To Take Indefinite Hiatus

April 21, 2010

The Pulse of Radio reports that THE BLACK CROWES will kick off their "Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys" tour in August, but once it wraps in December, we may not be seeing the band for a while. According to RollingStone.com, THE BLACK CROWES plan to take an "indefinite hiatus."

Guitarist Rich Robinson says they're keeping everything up in the air for now, explaining, "It would be nice to have a 30th anniversary. But we should walk away from this while everyone's in a good mood." He adds, "Plus, we all have babies. I'm expecting one any day now. Chris Robinson and Luther Dickinson just had kids. It seemed like a good time. To me, 'hiatus' means there is no plan. We haven't said, 'Let's get back together in 2012.' And we haven't said, 'Let's not.' "

THE BLACK CROWES wind down the tour with a six-night stand in December at the Fillmore in San Francisco.

In August, they will release "Croweology", a two-disc set of new acoustic recordings of hits and other songs from their career.

This year marks 20 years since the release of the band's debut, "Shake Your Moneymaker".

They broke up in 2002 and got back together in 2005.
