BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Guitarist CATANESE To Attend NAMM

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist Nick Catanese will be attending the 2006 Winter NAMM Convention (National Association Of Merchants),which runs between January 19 and January 22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Catanese will be conducting signing sessions every day (Jan. 19-22) at the Washburn booth.

Catanese recently spoke to Boston writer Deb Rao about the special features of his ET IDOL signature Washburn guitar, how he helped custom-design the signature series, and how fans can purchase the ET IDOL signature Washburn guitar.

Q: Nick, tell me about the special features of your ET IDOL signature Washburn guitar. I recently had the opportunity to see you perform live at Ozzfest and on the fall Mafia tour. The ET IDol had a great vibrant sound, and I loved the way the neck and body was designed. It looked really easy to perform with onstage. How can musicians purchase the ET IDOL?

Nick: "You can go to www.washburn.com/catanese or www.boogiestreet.com and they are there. They play amazing, even the imports. I played an import live on tour — the blue one — and it sounds great. I'm proud as fuck of those. They really have awesome tone and sustain and have balls."

Q: How was "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott instrumental in getting you the Washburn deal?

Nick: "The signature ET guitars are amazing. They play and sound just like my Les Pauls. Dime helped me get the deal, too. That's why I am playing a few of his guitars on stage. I am totally thrilled and honored to be in that catagory of being endorsed and have a signature series."
