BLACK SABBATH's TONY IOMMI Is 'Looking Forward To Next Year'
December 21, 2012BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has posted the following year-end message on his official web site:
"What a year! Certainly not the one I was expecting.
"Thanks to you all for your massive help and support; it was very encouraging.
"I'm still working on the [new BLACK SABBATH studio] album and managed to play three shows. Not bad given the news a year ago.
"I'm looking forward to next year, seeing what you think of the record and touring as much as we're able.
"My best wishes to you all. I hope you have a great Christmas and New Year, most of all, stay positive."
Iommi underwent chemotherapy treatment earlier in the year after being diagnosed with lymphoma at the end of 2011.
The paperback version of Iommi's book. "Iron Man: My Journey Through Heaven And Hell With Black Sabbath", was released in the U.K. on November 8 through Simon & Schuster and in the U.S. on December 11 via Da Capo Press/Perseus Books. Iommi stated: "It's got new chapters bringing everything up to date, including my battle with lymphoma."
Released in hardback in November 2011, "Iron Man: My Journey Through Heaven And Hell With Black Sabbath", landed at position No. 35 on the New York Times "Hardcover Nonfiction" best sellers list.
