BLACK SABBATH: UK MUSIC HALL OF FAME Performance, Interview Posted Online
November 20, 2005BLACK SABBATH's performance of "Paranoid" at Wednesday night's (Nov. 16) UK Music Hall of Fame ceremony was broadcast on BBC Radio 2 during Mark Radcliffe's show from backstage at the Alexandra Palace in London. Radcliffe also interviewed Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne after the show. Like all BBC Radio programs, it is available to listen on demand for a week at BBC.co.uk. The SABBATH segment begins at 2 hours 29 minutes 45 seconds into the program with "Sweet Leaf"; the live version of "Paranoid" is at 2 hours 37 minutes, and the interview starts at 2 hours 41 minutes.
BLACK SABBATH were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame Wednesday night by QUEEN guitarist Brian May. Other acts inducted on the night were Aretha Franklin, THE WHO, EURYTHMICS, PINK FLOYD, NEW ORDER/JOY DIVISION, THE KINKS, JIMI HENDRIX and BOB DYLAN. John Peel was made an honorary member of the Hall of Fame.
The full show will be broadcast on VH1 in the U.S. on Saturday, November 26 at 9:00 p.m., and on VH1 Classic on Sunday, November 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT and again at 11:00 p.m. ET and 8:00 p.m. PT.
