BLACK STONE CHERRY Adjusting To Life Away From Home
July 27, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: BLACK STONE CHERRY's current tour with BUCKCHERRY is only the second national trek of the band's career. Even though the members grew up together in the same small Kentucky town, drummer John Fred Young told Launch that the group is adjusting well to living and traveling on the road. "It's different, you know," he said. "It's different from just doing two or three dates and coming back home. And, you know, we grew up as brothers and definitely, you know, we thought we knew each other really well, and now we even know each other more. It's very different but it's fun, yeah."
BLACK STONE CHERRY's self-titled debut album landed at No. 90 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart this week, selling more than 10,000 copies in its first week of release.
The first single from BLACK STONE CHERRY's album is called "Lonely Train".
BLACK STONE CHERRY heads to its home state of Kentucky tonight (Thursday, July 27) for a show in Louisville. The band will also hit the road with STAIND in September and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY in October.
