BLACK STONE CHERRY Drummer Interviewed At NAMM
January 27, 2010Harmony Central conducted an interview with drummer John Fred Young of Edmonton, Kentucky rockers BLACK STONE CHERRY at the Ludwig booth at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, which was held January 14-17, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. "Folklore and Superstition", the sophomore album from BLACK STONE CHERRY, was reissued in the U.K. as a "special edition." The two-disc set includes the entire "Folklore" album on the first disc and rare and/or previously unreleased BLACK STONE CHERRY tracks on the second disc.
"Folklore and Superstition" sold 13,600 in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 28 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Black Bird Studios, which is owned and operated by country music star Martina McBride. It was produced and mixed by veteran Bob Marlette (OZZY OSBOURNE, SALIVA).
