BLACK TIDE Launches 'Warriors Of Time' Animation Series

October 30, 2008

Miami metallers BLACK TIDE have launched the Warriors of Time animation series. The six-part series is described by the band as follows: "Our Hero, known as The Bastard, is a living embodiment of metal music. We pit him against a robotic legion whose influence spans all of time and space. The song speaks to the urge in everyone to rage and rock out against all outside expectations. It is a call to arms against a mundane existence, and The Bastard is always there to answer in force, slaughtering the robot conformist authority for the sake of youth, rebellion, and the undying spirit of true metal."

The first in the epic series can be viewed below.

BLACK TIDE filmed a video for the song "Shout" in early October with directors Jason Bergh and David Katzenberg. Exclusive photos from the video shoot can now be seen on AbsolutePunk.net. The band says, "It was a kick-ass day and everyone that came out fuckin' rocked!"

BLACK TIDE sold 11,400 copies of its debut album, "Light from Above", in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Light from Above" was released on March 18 via Interscope Records. The CD was recorded with producer Johnny K, who has previously worked with DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD and SOIL, among others.
