October 27, 2008

Miami, Florida-based metallers BLACK TIDE filmed a video for the song "Shout" in early October with directors Jason Bergh and David Katzenberg. Exclusive photos from the video shoot can now be seen on AbsolutePunk.net. The band says, "It was a kick-ass day and everyone that came out fuckin' rocked!"

BLACK TIDE sold 11,400 copies of its debut album, "Light from Above", in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 73 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Light from Above" was released on March 18 via Interscope Records. The CD was recorded with producer Johnny K, who has previously worked with DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD and SOIL, among others.

Metal Injection has posted a new video interview with bassist Zach Sandler of BLACK TIDE conducted at the Uniondale, New York stop of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival tour. Watch the chat below.
